Years ago, /v/ used to be every thread buttmad that there was a lack of male armor for Oblivion. The fact of the matter was that there never was a lack, they were just lazy about looking for them. Anon eventually made
this image for his peers but it wasn't very good and I was constantly referring anon to more outfits because back then I didn't have a sweet blog to post all the male armors on. So here we go.
Keep in mind that all of these look much better in a modded Oblivion so don't judge the shitty screenshots from ages long past.
Oblivion Male Armour Guide:
Recommended:
- First off, get Robert's Male Body
- Secondly, WAC - I covered this in my Oblivion mod guide so I won't put links here but it adds a ton of male and female armour to all NPCs. I like it over other overhauls just for that aspect.
- Berserk PS2 game rips - Bagserk ported some of this stuff and I added in some other stuff
- TDA Armory - Lots of manly stuff in this mod.
- Andragorn's mods - From weapons, to shields, to armours & hoods, it's got it all. Pretty high quality stuff.
- theRoadstroker's mods - I really like t he Knight Templar and Zelda mods. There's also this addon for the Zelda mod.
- Pale_rider's mods - Not so high quality but some of these are pretty nice.
- Bob's Armory - FCOM installs usually have this but in case you don't. It adds a lot of stuff.
- QTA's mods - He's made two male outfits here and here. He also has female outfits and Skyrim/FNV mods.
- Doppler's Armory - Lore friendly armor pack
- The Witcher rips - unpack the .bsa or the items will be invisible in game, I'd also butcher the .esp in tes4edit as it has a lot of stuff you don't need. There are also some Witcher mods on the Nexus.
- The Witcher 2 rips - haven't used this yet, will update when I have tried it.
- McMutton's mods - The Hero armour is awful but I like the fancy suit.
- Anvilbay.ru mods - There are a few good armor mods here such as the Thief's vest.
- Armamentarium - I don't like this but some do.
- Steampunk Stuff - I can't remember who made this stuff but it's a resource pack with some really cool steampunk animated meshes and an outfit or two. I finally remembered, Corthian is the authors name. I'm not sure why he didn't turn it into a mod but I got the pack from the forums.
Not so recommended but they exist:
