This guide will aim to list all of the mods that make NPCs look different. There are over a dozen mods that do this and I'll be re-uploading the ones I have since some are hard to find. I'd like to make a guide on how to make them look the best but I definitely don't know how to do that.
Make sure to check out
this LL thread for some nice info.
Large overhauls(Typically conflict heavily)
- Oblivion Character Overhaul - Different version from the below. It's possibly friendlier with other NPC revamping mods.
- Oblivion Character Overhaul 2 - Updated OCO with support for the Blockhead OBSE mod. Very popular NPC overhaul mod but I think it looks awful.
- Tamriel NPCs Revamped - TNR was always unpopular amongst anon since it makes certain NPCs look worse than vanilla.
- Cyrodiil NPCs Remodeling Project - This was made with TNR in mind so if you're using a bashed patch it will only import the NPC inventories if there's another mod already changing the faces of the NPCs. It seems half decent and half really bad.
- Waalx Animals and Creatures - I talk about this in my modding guide.
- XeoSP++ Rebuild with PlomsOrcs & CCC - CCC adds almost every hair and eyes to an .esp and XeoSP++ turns NPCs into animes.
- Oblivion Character Replacer - Ploms made a character replacer and says it's really bad and that I shouldn't include it here.
Smaller overhauls(Typically mergeable with bashed patch or with minimal conflicts)
Japanese mods I've never tried.
I think there are more mods of this sort but this is all I've got for now. I may add onto this guide detailing mods that add new NPCs rather than changing existing ones.
